2008 Awards
The Quarter Horse Association of Alberta tabulates points for Open, Amateur and Youth Members who compete at QHAA approved shows. The winners of the awards, receive recognition and prizes at the Year End Awards Banquet, October 27th in Red Deer. The Association recognizes Champions and Reserve Champions. NOTE: For Open Awards: Membership Name and the Owners of the Horse Eligible for the Award----Must Match.
For Amateur and Youth riders the membership must match the rider of the rider/horse combination. Please!! take out your membership and ensure your chance to be recognized as the "Best in Alberta"!

A $5000. purse awarded to the top three open Western Riding horses according to QHAA points for 2008 providing that one Jr. Western Riding horse be included. If there are no Jr. Western Riding Horses then the third place open western riding horse will receive the award. If the Champion is in fact a Jr. Western Riding Horse it does not become eligible for the additional $1000. award.
